Experimenting with ENERGY
As part of our All Ages Session, students are busy learning about all different forms of ENERGY! This hands-on, interactive unit ties into the Ontario Science curriculum for the variety of grades we have in our current class. From moving water, to the sun, to electricity, our developing scientists do not have a dull moment. Popular experiments include making pinwheels, building electrical circuits and exploring with magnets. Our new house provides an excellent setting to explore another important energy topic – conservation. Towards the end of the unit, students will travel around 240 McCaul Street to look for all the energy saving measures. It will be very interesting to see how many they can find. Hopefully, they don’t miss a big one located on our roof. Sorry, students, no more hints for you here!!
