Toronto's Ronald McDonald House is a 'home away from home' for out-of-town families whose children are receiving treatment for serious illness at Toronto hospitals (generally the Hospital for Sick Children, but others as well). Our goal is to provide an atmosphere for families and their children where the familiar routines of home life can continue as much as possible.

Make miracles happen through our Adopt-a-Room program.

Room adopted by Subaru Canada, Inc. and The Taylor Group.

By supporting our Adopt-a-Room program you are offering families a helping hand during some of the most difficult times they may ever encounter.

The Adopt-a-Room program ensures that the bedrooms and common rooms at Toronto's Ronald McDonald House are beautifully kept and maintained for the out-of-town families who need a comfortable place to stay while in Toronto seeking medical treatment for their sick children. Your sponsorship for five years will help cover the costs associated with maintenance and operation of your room, ensuring it is always available for the hundreds of families that stay with us each year.

We recognize your support.

When you decide to Adopt-a-Room, we know that your support comes from the heart. And we want to thank you as best we can upon receiving your donation:

  • We'll place a plaque prominently displaying your name certifying your adoption of the room.
  • You'll be invited to an intimate VIP reception held at Toronto's Ronald McDonald House to recognize your generous support.
  • We'll highlight your room adoption in our newsletter, 'News from Home" and our Annual Report, both of which reach thousands of readers every year.
  • Determine the payment option of your choice. The first option is to adopt the room with a single one-time payment. Or if you prefer, you could choose to make five consecutive installments payable on the anniversary of your room adoption. Payment can be made by cheque, Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
  • You'll receive a tax receipt applicable for the calendar year of each payment.
  • You'll have the first right of renewal on your room at the end of your five-year commitment should you wish to continue your sponsorship.

For more information on the Adopt-a-Room Program, please contact Judy MacGowan at (416) 977-1346.

Thank you to our current Adopt-a-Room Partners...

On behalf of the children and families staying at the House, THANK YOU!
