Every sick child should have a place to call home

Every year, families with seriously ill children travel across Canada to receive treatment in Toronto hospitals. Families from communities like yours.

Since 1981, Toronto's Ronald McDonald House has been a "home away from home" for thousands of these families. Our 28-bedroom facility is host to over 10,000 family nights each year. And they get more than a roof over their heads, they also become part of a caring community.

Families have traveled to Toronto and stayed in our House while undergoing cancer treatment, organ and tissue transplants, bone-marrow transplants, trauma-related injury care, neo-natal care and many other treatments.

The House is independently owned and operated by an independent non-profit organization. Neither McDonald's Restaurants of Canada nor Ronald McDonald Children's Charities owns or operates Toronto's Ronald McDonald House.

To maintain the House and the highest quality of service for our families and their children, we rely on the support of caring corporations, foundations and individuals like you to fund our daily operations. Without such support, the House would cease to exist for families in need.

Having a child with a serious illness is devastating to an entire family. Traveling to a strange city for treatment adds financial and emotional strain. That's why Toronto's Ronald McDonald House is an essential part of the healing process.
